So, yours truly went to the Joanna Newsom gig last night. Yes, she was divine, yes, she played lots of new material, and yes, the collective scent of The Forum went from a light, sweet scent of urine and old alcohol to that of the concentrated smell of 20 op shops mixed with unwashed bodies and fake glasses galore. Makes me kinda glad I’ll never see Neutral Milk Hotel live.
